Mining Growth in Peru: Momentum & Investment

Peru’s mining sector continues to be a key engine of economic growth. In 2025, projected investments in mining are around USD 4.8 billion, with expectations that copper output will rise to approximately 2.8 million metric tons.

Mining contributes significantly to Peru’s economy — making up around 8.5% of GDP and nearly 63.9% of its exports.

These figures reflect not only strong demand for metals globally but also the continued push for exploration, development, and expansion of mining projects in key regions of Peru.
